Morning Light

As the morning light breaks its way through the trees, the vast silence is broken. The wild and beautiful sounds of a young bull elk, bugling his defiance to the herd master, is heard throughout the forest. The struggle for survival is never ending.

Grand Teton National Park was established in 1929, seventeen years after land in Jackson Hole Valley had been set aside as a national elk refuge. The elk herds of the Tetons are one of the largest in the world.
