This is early, early morning and the water of this pond is a little warmer than the air so the steam rose up. It has a mystical feeling and the bear is absolutely magnificent.
A grizzly is a phenomenal thing to see. It's so detached from human experience that it seems impossible. It looms like a mountain and defies you. It's almost like looking eternity in the face. It's such a strong and profound animal. In fact, without the cubs, the grizzly would have become too imposing an animal and the confrontation too intense.
