Life's a Dance

"I have a deep respect and appreciation for the real working cowboy. The man I pictured in 'Life's a Dance' - taking a rare and welcome moment from his hard ranch life to spend some time with his little daughter - is equally at home playing a tune on a concertina when he is out on the range. "In creating this piece, I enjoyed the different levels of fatherhood: the fact that a man can be a kind father and a hardworking breadwinner at the same time. I often think that life for each person is a patchwork quilt of varied feelings and emotions and that's what I like to bring out in my work."
