Keeping Watch

The title, "Keeping Watch," relates to the father proudly watching his son paddle the canoe, as well as the father watching over his son in the paternal sense. It also refers to the moose watching the two from the woods.

This image is also a combination of many artistic elements, including an underlying texture that is reminiscent of leaves and tree bark, giving it an organic feel. The old-fashioned canoe complements the colors of the overall painting.

It's there to support the message of man living in harmony with nature as well as sharing a special time as a boy is becoming a man.
