"Every year in Cody, Wyoming, they have a frontier festival at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and Museum. There is a pack horse race as part of the celebration. Different ranches compete in it and I was struck by the image of these three white horses galloping one after another around the bend.
"It reminded me of the galloping pack horses in Charles Russell's western paintings, except pack horses rarely run. If they were spooked, things like that could really happen but otherwise, it's not realistic."
