"My model is a man named Jim Williams and he is a true modern day mountain man. He spent one winter trapping and living in a cave. He now lives in a hogan in the Southwest with an old style bathtub outside and he's trying to meet a girl who'll want to live as he does. I don't know if he will but he's a special guy and every time he comes through Cody, he poses for me.
"On one side of Dunn Creek in Wyoming is this rock formation. I love the winter out there. I'm absolutely fascinated by it. It's great the way the snow covers the rocks and ground. So I posed Jim on this really nasty, windy day and I tried to capture the mood of the moment."
