These petroglyphs were created by ancient Indian civilizations. They can be found in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Texas and in a place called Three Rivers, New Mexico, there are so many it looks like an amazing Indian sketchbook.
These ancient people were living in a land that was probably more fertile than it is now. The water table and weather patterns have changed over the centuries. Everything changes, people move on and cultures die out . . . but many leave the story of their passing.
