The season is early summer but there's still icy evidence of winter in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. With the majestic mountains looming behind them, a group of Plains Indians head for camp after successfully raiding a neighboring tribe and stealing their horses. Because an Indian's wealth was measured by the number of horses he owned, this is a common practice among many of the North American tribes. Although victorious today, these Indians may fall victim to the same crime tomorrow.
"Below the Breaking Dawn" portrays the quiet aftermath of what was surely an action-packed night.
