Under the ominous clouds of a gathering storm, a group of Sioux warriors survey the land around them from the vantage point of the rim. In the harsh environment of the Old West, knowing what lay ahead on the trail was a key to survival, a lesson the Sioux learned over many years.
The scouts rode in advance of the main body of warriors. Their task was to read the signs on the trail and give warning of danger or signal to move ahead.
This rocky promontory is good luck for Sioux warriors; no matter whether what waits is an ambush or good hunting, the scouts can see it all "From the Rim."
