Indians became known for their wily tactics, uncanny instincts and knowledge of local terrain. Choosing an easy prey, however, is perhaps the most ancient of military strategies - and one which the Indians could exercise as well as any. A wagonload of supplies returning from town to the ranch offered just such a target. Having no guard for protection, this driver was particularly vulnerable. Now, his only hope is to reach the ranch - and safety - before the hostiles close in.
