Yearning For My Captain

This was inspired by an old English movie. It took place during the Victorian era and concerned the deeply devoted love of a woman for her always absent husband who was a Navy captain. He was also deeply in love with her, and faithful, although constantly tempted. Letters between them were frequent and passionate. His "need" was to sail, and her unfortunate fate was to wait longing for his return from each extended voyage atop the widow's walk, straining to see his ship. His all-consuming love for her was building unbearably stronger with each departure and this powerful loved superseded his attachment for the sea. This wonderful love story eventually ended happily for the captain and his wife.
