"This image depicts a beautiful rural landscape at sunset in October," said artist Brent Townsend, "while the leaves are still on the trees and at their peak. The landscape is dotted with all sorts of trees: sugar maple, aspen, yellow birch, oak, cedar and spruce. The fields, mainly cattle pastures, are separated by fences.
"I had fun with the perspective. I've put you almost at eye level with the Canada geese that are gaining altitude. I've literally given you a 'birds-eye view,' looking down at one of my favorite panoramic, pastoral scenes."
