"I was born in the Netherlands and I've spent a good part of my life there. English is not my first language, so perhaps I find more delights in it than a person who was raised with it would. Theat's one of the reasons I enjoy doing plays on words with my titles.
"The image of 'Basket Cases' is a play on the title. These cats, captivated by the movement of a tiny spider, are oblivious to the gourmet meal just below, in the form of brightly colored parakeets.
