Details
Most of Hanks' compositions are less populated than his "Streets of New Orleans." Like the glimpse of life's end game he observed during a vacation in Venice. Two elderly women walked slowley, arm in arm, toward a cathedral entrance. The painting, rich in detail and comforting in its message, suggests that at every age, we are "traveling at the speed of light." These two elders were simply "Taking Their Time" to get there.
