Details
Only a few hundred mountain gorillas are left in the wild as poachers have greatly reduced their numbers. On the far right of this group is a sliver-backed male; with him are two adult females. Males are considerably larger than their mates, weighing up to 600 pounds, but they are suprisingly gentle.
Gorillas have many moods. These three have their own distinct personalities, betrayed by their special facial expressions.
