THE LONG RUN

This is the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest. It's an area where wolves have just recently been sighted again. They were thought, by some, to be extinct . . . until now. The expanse of the area in which they live is huge. They travel in large groups - up to 30 animals. They live in social groups; they hunt together, they have a hierarchy. They are coming through the woods in search of water. There is a sense that there are more wolves than you see. Are there?
