MISTY MORNING LOOKOUT

High on wintery crests the first snows have arrived. As winter grows near, the ever-protective nanny keeps close track of her young kid. Although the kid has spent its first summer in the high Alpine country, the howling winds of winter will provide his first real test. It is in the high country, on the windswept ledges that is the best place for research. It is here that one can enjoy the purest air, the purest water and the purest light found anywhere on earth. It is also where the mountain goat can be found. An almost mystical beast, they belong entirely to the high snow covered ice crags that most life forms would find uninhabitable. To backpack into his world and live, even for a day, on his terms, is truly a challenge.
