Details
Jessica is very hard at work in her mother's kitchen. Although she is still a small child, all hands were needed in the days of the early west. Her mother must make everything for their daily needs: soap, candles, clothes, food. She also hauls the water from the stream for cooking and washing. Jessica is removing the stem of the carrot in preparation for the beef stew for the evening's meal. She can already anticipate the taste.
