Details
This image continues Weiss' tradition of portraying man's relationship with his animal companions. Sometimes there is a human presence - as in "Old Friends" and "Forever Friends" - and sometimes the human presence is implied as in "A Feeling of Warmth" and this image. In all cases, the emotional context is very important.
This image is a light-hearted, almost comical moment. Exactly what this poor fellow has done is up the the imagination of the viewer. The crime is open-ended. In the end, his expression - not the cause - is the most important thing.
