SECURITY BLANKET

"'Security Blanket' was posed by Rachel, youngest of the five Martineau sisters who often serve as my models. Members of the Paiute tribe, they are of French and Indian ancestry. "Rachel was about three years old at the time and not quite sure what I wanted her to do. Unwittingly she assumed this natural little pose which was better than anything I could have invented."
