Details

It's springtime and the York sisters are painting in the early Americana style. They are Sunday painters who, this particular Sunday, said, "Well, we've painted the lighthouses so many times, let's paint something else." The Three Sisters lighthouses got their names because, to mariners, they looked like triplets. They looked like three sisters wearing white skirts and black blouses and the nickname hung on.
