Cape Cod Cold Fish Party

"My Uncle Ted was an avid fisherman who told us many tales of his various trips to different places in search of catching those elusive devils. His love for ice fishing provided us with some of his most intersting and often humorous stories. For him, fishing almost became a weekend ritual. His fellow anglers, besides himself, decorated their ice shanties with quaint personal designs and sayings which were sometimes elaborate in their detail and often times mildly humorous. This amusing picture out of the past seemed now a 'natural' for a painting, so I remembered the vivid mind pictures my uncle created for us."
