RETURN OF THE RED GREMLIN (COUNTER SIGNED)

The "Red Gremlin" transported General Mark Clark to Algeria to negotiate with the Free French, and, a short time later, conveyed Clark and General Dwight D. Eisenhower to North Africa to command that invasion. The "Red Gremlin" also led the first 100-airplane daylight raid on occupied France with Tibbets, Ferebee and Van Kirk on the flight deck.
