GLACIER GOATS

Normally when you see mountain goats, you are looking up because they like peaks and cliffs. This images displays a different vantage point. When you look up at the sky, especially at this altitude, the sky is a very deep, dark blue. The closer to the zenith, the darker it looks. The lighting is a kind of back lighting so the clouds become luminous. The sun is coming through the clouds against a dark sky and the peaks in the shadows make it much more radiant.
