Native Americans had been deprived of a deep spiritual connection with the bison, on whom their culture depended. I am gratified to know that concerted efforts are being made to reintroduce bison on tribal lands." Judy’s art takes us back to Yellowstone in 1902. We see life renewed in the bison calf and the land bringing forth new growth after a fire.
