"This is Carmel's Mission San Carlos Borromeo, founded in 1770. I was intrigued by the star-like pattern of the Moorish window repeated in the courtyard fountain. If you have the good fortune to go to the mission, I'm afraid you won't be able to see it from this particular angle; a wall blocks your view. I had to rely on archival photos to reconstruct the scene as it looked decades ago."
