EVENING SOLITUDE

This young wolf probably wore out his welcome with the pack and has left, wandering out onto a snowpack to rest. He looks almost vulnerable, alone -quite a contrast to the usual portrayal of wolves as fierce hunters. The sun casts a glow over the snow and backlights the wolf. The dark background serves to isolate the animal and increase the feeling of loneliness.
