THE DARTMOOR PONIES

The road from the summer hills of Cornwall twisted north into Devon's wild Dartmoor. Lush hills with a life all their own rolled, tumbled and faded away into the evening mist. There, knee-deep in green and lavender heather, were the free-ranging ponies of Dartmoor. These ponies are a celebration of spirit and freedom. Mares of all colors were running, grazing and resting their rugged little foals. It seems as if all the world's horses were rolled into one tough little package.
