Details

These bald eagles are on cliffs atop the Colorado River. The Anasazi Indians -"Anasazi" is a Navajo word meaning "the ancient ones" - built these dwellings approximately 760 years ago. These structures could house approximately 350 people. It is truly a mystery because no one knows why the Anasazi abandoned these dwellings as they did. Indians may have lived there hundreds of years ago but now the eagles are the only cliff dwellers.
