Details

"The palace is often called the Tentpole of the Sky," Gurney himself expoains, "because it seems to hold up the fabric of the heavens. It was built on the highest mountain in the center of the island and commands a fine view of Dinotopia in all directions. It is crowned with a gigantic rose quartz gemstone - found intact in one of the many caves that cut through the mountains. It serves as a signal beacon to guide the Sky Gallery dirigibles on foggy nights."
