Even the greatest of cathedrals conceived by man seem pale before the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. In a single image, Carole Cooke’s "Alpine Reverie" captures the enormity and strength of this great, craggy range while showcasing the fragile and delicate nature of a flower-strewn alpine meadow.
“I saw this view at high noon and was intrigued by the contrasting elements,” explains Cooke. “I loved the play of light between sunlight and shadows on the distant glacier. The mountain was enormous and felt so strong, while the wildflowers were so small and delicate. The foreground presented an interesting variety of shapes to look past to the waterfall and calm snowfield across the canyon.”
Cooke’s "Alpine Reverie" is an awe-inspiring vista presented in all the exacting detail and brilliant color of the original as a Greenwich Workshop Fine Art Giclèe Canvas. Only 25 of this beautiful work will be created, so don’t dream away the opportunity to enjoy this view all day!
