A BUSHEL AND A PECK

"You can't get cats to pose, of course, but I've seen my own cats leap into baskets, shoeboxes . . . everything. I've even seen one settle down for a nap inside a grocery bag while there is still food in it! Each of the cats in 'A Bushel and a Peck' has its own reaction to the bird, but I'd say most have the feeling, 'Yeah, we've been here before.' As for the parakeet having his beauty wash, he's oblivious to the drama he's creating. Until cats sprout wings, there's really no reason for him to behave otherwise."
